WELCOME TO POST 10900 CLEVELAND-DAY

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Announcements

The VFW here in Moab would like to thank all the people that donated to our fundraisers this year.  This year the generosity of the people in our community has enabled the VFW the ability to donate $5,500.00 to the Grand County Food Bank.  Additionally, the VFW was able to donate another $8,000.00 to assist veterans, and other people in the community.  Again, thank you and Merry Christmas.

From Combat Boots to Career Paths: A Veteran’s Guide to Entrepreneurship and Remote Work

Re-entering civilian life comes with a whirlwind of choices — but none more pivotal than deciding how to earn a living. For many veterans, the mission continues, this time in boardrooms, home offices, and side hustles built from scratch. Starting a business or finding remote work doesn’t just bring financial stability — it restores a sense of purpose and command. You’ve served under pressure; you’ve led through chaos. Those are not soft skills. They’re startup material.

A Financial Guide for Young Veterans Stepping Into Civilian Life

Leaving the military is like walking off a ship that’s always kept you afloat, even in choppy waters. You’re on solid ground now, but it’s unfamiliar terrain—civilian life with its unwritten rules, unpredictable rhythms, and above all, new responsibilities. For young veterans, one of the most critical—and often most confusing—parts of this transition is money. The security of steady military pay is gone, and in its place is a world filled with choices, opportunities, and traps that don’t come with a briefing.
